Senior Network Project Engineer - Fortnet Essential/Strong PM exp Manage the delivery of technical solutions for recurring technical issues, ensuring that long term fixes are implemented to prevent repeat call outs. Ensure that all Unit Processes are understood and applied in the normal course of work:, including ensuring Patch levels are current, passwords are changed, morning checks are formally SIRs are accurate and completed within 24Hrs of any outage Ensure all network devices are appropriately monitored through automated tools Ensure work projects are accurately reported and delivered within the project budget and deadlines Support all unit process initiatives and strive to achieve all standards set within each of the processes Ensure live service support is maintained for all relevant functions and significant problems requests are escalated to the Team Lead Ensure estimates provided for work packages are fully scoped, underpinned by assumptions and derived from thorough analysis and#x0095;Manage the planning, implementing and reporting on a sustained program of continuous improvement and#x0095;Provide high quality documentation and Network diagrams to the Network Operations team and#x0095;Responsible of the project handover to the Network Operations team for the support after go-live and#x0095;Provide on-site/on-call support after the go-live of the project The ideal skills required are the following In-depth knowledge of Cisco Routing and switching, LAN, WAN, MAN and WLAN technologies and#x0095;In-depth knowledge of firewall technologies, ideally Cisco FWSM, ASA, Fortinet Firewalls, Cisco PIX and Juniper NetScreen Firewalls and#x0095;Good knowledge of Network monitoring tools and#x0095;Good understanding of load balancers, Cisco ACE blades and Alteon Content Switches and#x0095;Good knowledge of Fibre technologies, DWDM. and#x0095;Good knowledge of Multi cast. and#x0095;Advanced knowledge of fast cut through 10G switching technologies (blade servers, Juniper, Nortel...) and#x0095;Advanced knowledge Infiniband switching and#x0095;Good understanding network security including best Practices.
