We are looking for an experience Data Architect who has experience working with MicroStrategy version 8 or 9. My client, a FMCG company is looking to replace their current EDW and BI reporting toolset. The new data warehouse is to be modelled from scratch according to the current business requirements and logical business model, and the mechanism for an ongoing Data Quality process is vital. The Data Architect role will cover all aspects of data mining, profiling, and modelling techniques in order to create a new LDM. Experience in Data Quality best practice and MetaData maintenance is key. The Data Architect will be responsible for the Target Warehouse design and will also need knowledge of optimisation of the Physical Data Model for MicroStrategy (V9 Rel2) reporting. The Data Architect will also be expected to assist in the definition of data and dimensional hierarchies for the ETL development using Oracle Warehouse Builder. The analysis of current data warehouse data (COGNOS over Oracle DWH) will be necessary. No other tools in place, so SQL skills necessary. A good communicator with an enthusiastic and#x201C;can doand#x201D; attitude and a finely-tuned sense of humour is required to join a very good BI-based project team.
